World Cetacean Alliance
The World Cetacean Alliance (WCA) is the world’s largest Partnership working to protect whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans). Through cooperation, WCA Partners aim to conserve and protect cetaceans and their habitats in the world’s oceans, seas and rivers, to ensure their continued health and survival. The WCA has 72 Partners in 32 countries, representing Whale Watching businesses, Not for Profit Organisations and individual members of the public. The WCA initiated the Whale Heritage Sites accreditation scheme that identifies destinations around the world that implement and celebrate responsible and sustainable whale and dolphin watching.
Whales Need Us
Whales can not survive without US leadership. WNUS is a coalition of environmental, conservation and animal welfare organizations working to change and set policy with the United States government and its interests internationally with regards to commercial and scientific whaling. WNUS believes that the U.S. must lead the world to end commercial and scientific whaling, that the International Whaling Convention must be strengthened, and that commercial whaling has no place in the 21st century.
